《地牢守护者：永恒（Dungeon Defenders Eternity）》可以说是《地牢守护者2》的抢先体验版，也可以说是1.5代中间过渡版。游戏画面和内容都是在2代测试版中直接抽出。和大受欢迎并且人气不减的《地牢守护者》1代相同，2代同样拥有多人合作和竞争模式，合作模式是传统塔防 RPG 的续作内容，将带来新的故事剧情，更多英雄、战利品、装备以及塔防任务。
