具有不错的世界观并体现阴暗一面的FPS游戏《生化奇兵》的续作。虽然主人公有变化，但是一些能力和武器使用与前作相同，可进行的攻击变多，将面临更高人工智能。据悉还可多人游戏。游戏支持最多10人互殴，除了最基本的枪战，质体超能力也占有一席之地，而且根据地利发挥该能力可收奇效，比如对处于浅水洼中的对手放电，对站在油污中对手施放火龙等。
如玩家获得胜利可收获Adam奖励以及角色晋级，等级越高其配备及技能水平也就越高，玩家逐步成长为销魂城里出色的斗士。
游戏中会出现一些修正平衡的道具，比如大老爹的潜水行头，玩家穿上后就成为威猛无比的战士，能承受更多攻击并携带更多弹药，缺点是行动缓慢。此外还有可被侵入的哨炮（侵入手续为时数秒，但不是原作中那种拼水管游戏），哨炮被黑后就为己所用，为己方平添几分优势。
