育碧在E3发布会正式公布了其FPS新作《孤岛惊魂3》，并首次放出了实际游戏演示及截图。该作由育碧蒙特利尔主力开发，育碧上海和育碧Massive协力开发，采用了全面升级的Dunia引擎。
育碧蒙特利尔工作室的制作人Dan Hay说：“《孤岛惊魂3》继承着《孤岛惊魂》系列的‘纯种血统’，并将带来全新的内容。无论是《孤岛惊魂》系列的老玩家还是新近加入的新手，都可以享受到它宏大的故事。”
在孤岛惊魂3中，玩家将跟随Jason Brody的步伐，独自徘徊于世界的边缘，一个神秘的热带小岛。玩家的选择将决定故事情节，在沿途的战斗中，你可以选择与AI成为盟友或敌人。玩家需要在这个毫无道德的岛上通过潜行、厮杀来找到一条生路。
《孤岛惊魂3》预计将于11月29日在欧洲面市，次日登陆英国，12月4日北美上市，并将会登陆PS3、Xbox360和PC三大平台。
