***So v1.3 is currently reverted back to a BETA state, due to a bug that causes animations/actions to lock up. This never happened with the FO3 version, so I'm still trying to iron out the details causing the problem.***

"RCSS" adds a reinforced version of the Chinese Stealth Suit to the Mojave Wasteland! With similar features as my original RCSS mod for Fallout 3, this mod implements a powered-up version of the Latexy Chinese Stealth Suit that resembles the likes of popular futuristic Ninja characters. (Right now its just sitting in a box in Jacobstown, but it won't be that way for long!)

- Pauldron redesign, better detail and form
- Added the "Stealth Field Barrier", a static energy field that improves energy resistance
- Added "No Cloth" variant to Waistguard
- Modified stat values(22DT spread with Armor, Helm, Pauldrons on)
v1.2 Updates

- Added a flashy de-stealthing shader when standing up from stealth mode, akin to nightkin
- Added the Assisted Targeting Visor, an instant Spotter perk item that makes aggressive targets glow red
- Added Dual, Left, and Right Pauldrons with a 1DT boost
- Modified stat values to maintain improved durability, but reduce the obscene DT spread
v1.1 Updates

- Fixed an issue causing graphical issues while using one-handed guns in 1st person mode
- Fixed an issue with the male version's left glove emissive color
- Modified stat values to improve durability and slightly increase damage threshold (see below for details)
- Modified waist addon to reduce clipping problems

- Basic Stealth Functionality (A stealth and non-stealth version are included, simply sneak to activate)
- Night Vision Functionality (A NV and non-NV version of the visor is included, simply equip to activate)

Currently, everything included in the mod is contained within a Trunk in one of the Bungalows of Jacobstown (coc jacobstownbungalow01). Peruse the images tab for a visual reference of the location of said container. Alternatively, use the following codes with the console (XX represents the Mod Index number, found next to the File category in FOMM, which may or may not exist for NV yet):

Commonly Asked Questions and Resolved Issues
===============
Q: While the stealth field is active, my character's hair disappears/causes graphical glitches, what gives?
A: Game-related bug. The stealth field causes hair to suspend itself virtually anywhere it pleases. I've seen it attached to the Pipboy, the Sun, the entire Player Character, or my Weapon. I've played around with different stealth effects with no foreseeable fix, so equipping a helmet seems to be the only way to go if things get too bad.
Q: The item codes you have listed aren't working!?
A: Try increasing or decreasing your mod index number, even if it doesn't match the one associated with the mod.
Q: Things aren't showing up/Red Exclamation Points/Invisibility?
A: Make sure you properly install the files to their appropriate directory. Simply drag the included Data folder over your own and overwrite any files that may be present.
Q: Can you make a Night Vision version of the ATS visor? Or vice versa)?
A: Swap the .nif files if you want this done. Each visor is intended to look and function a certain way.
Q: Why is it so easy to obtain the armor?
A: Don't expect to see this stuff in the same place for long. A quest will be implemented for obtaining the armor in a much more presentable way.
Q: What is up with the Waistguard (No Cloth)? It looks like you forgot to remove a piece?
A: I didn't forget. The armor is intended to be asymmetrical.
Q: Do you take requests?
A: I don't have much time on my hands, but I don't mind being given ideas/thoughts. By all means let me know what you think and what you'd like to see!

Licensing/Legal

This 'port' of my FO3 RCSS mod uses assets from New Vegas, not FO3. I've done my best to follow the rules and regulations found on the Nexus sites, and will resolve any issue that may be found. Much had to be done to transfer everything over appropriately, so feedback is welcome if I didn't catch something!
Also, you MUST contact me and obtain my permission before re-packaging ANY part of this mod. |
