For me the most important Czech characters I know and have gone through Brno is Silvia Saint and Dan Vavra. Other than that I do not know any more about important persons of Czech . Well the president that was a writer.
On the other hand, beware you of perfidious Albion, their womans and their prime ministers. At the beginning of the Czech version of Mafia I think there is a recall for the story about it normad007

i see what you mean and all but...
i don't see Mafia II's gameplay sucking to bad even if it's worse than the first game. but as long as it's not real bad, the game still should be quality (8/10+, hopefully 9/10. because anything under a 9/10 (maybe 8.5/10 bare minimum) ill be quite disappointed because of the high standard of the first game) assuming the story/characters/ending etc is still top spec like the first games are.
that's ultimately the bottom line for me. because the driving still seems solid. it's going to boil down to the shooting as far as the gameplay is concerned mostly if it's going to live up to Mafia or not.
but ill have to complete the game to make a final opinion.
p.s. you said 'WAS a masterpiece'. i say swap was with 'still is'... it's a 8 year old game but i would still rather take that in the long run over new single player games. 看看大家需要的是什么游戏吧：

It's pretty obvious that they didn't target this for the mass market. Either that, or they did not do any research about what people want.
Mass market wants:
-multiplayer - sad but it's true. Blame this on games like Modern Warfare. A game that brought us a 4 hour single player mode, and a very good multiplayer
-good free roam

This is our video review for Mafia II. To be honest the score isn't as important to me as what Dave says in the video. At the end he clearly states that although due to the linearity, Mafia II is not a game that everyone should BUY, he thinks that because of the movie-like cinematic storytelling and presentation, that it is a game that everyone should PLAY.
I definitely agree with him there.
Also, it's a PC review so certain aspects of the game, like the visuals, are clearly better. 唉都怪当初被吹得太厉害了。。。居然跟GTA4比，丢脸 2楼是机翻的吧。。。。。。。
