i see what you mean and all but...
i don't see Mafia II's gameplay sucking to bad even if it's worse than the first game. but as long as it's not real bad, the game still should be quality (8/10+, hopefully 9/10. because anything under a 9/10 (maybe 8.5/10 bare minimum) ill be quite disappointed because of the high standard of the first game) assuming the story/characters/ending etc is still top spec like the first games are.
that's ultimately the bottom line for me. because the driving still seems solid. it's going to boil down to the shooting as far as the gameplay is concerned mostly if it's going to live up to Mafia or not.
but ill have to complete the game to make a final opinion.
p.s. you said 'WAS a masterpiece'. i say swap was with 'still is' ... it's a 8 year old game but i would still rather take that in the long run over new single player games. |
