Controls!

EDIT: As of 14/05/14, Koei have fixed the controller mapping issues and this guide is no longer valid unless you wish to map controlls to those of DW7. This was a guide for those of at release which found controller mappings to be off. Cheers for your support and good luck ingame!

Hello readers!
Previously at release this guide was initially to counter the poor controller mapping that Koei gave us at release, however as this problem is now fixed this is more for controls that fit more with the DW7 style.
Now for the basics:
Movement is with the left stick so do that!
Normal Attack: X
Charge Attack: Y
Musou: B
Jump:A
That is the basic control scheme most people are used too!
Now is up to preference but here is my mapping which gives the best feel to the original console controlls:
Strafe/Guard: LB
Call Horse: LT
Switch Weapon: RB
Toggle Map: RT
Camera! For those of you claiming that you can't adjust the camera with the right stick, shame on you!
Map the camera to the right stick here!
Display info screen: Pause
Pause: Back
Rage: L3 (Click in Stick)
And command bodyguards to the corresponding arrows on you D-PAD
Now please enjoy dynasty warriors 8 on pc with decent controls! |
