Theteam has heard some feedback from the community that is concerned thatthe look of SC2 is too "colorful" and that more "realistic" colorchoices would be more in keeping with the original StarCraft. We saw alot of these types of posts early on after we made the announcement.

Ijust spoke to Sam Didier (our Art Director) about this issue and hetells me that in order to make the units read well we have added A LOTof team color which really blows the units out and makes them looksuper-colored especially with the brighter colors (red, blue). The artteam plans to take one or more passes over all the units in the game totry to balance out team color so it still works for game play but looksless bright and more in keeping with the original StarCraft. Changes tothe over-all look to the game are always an option and the team isalways tuning and trying to balance out the look of the game.

If you are referring to the blobs of green in the first screenshot,those are the exploded corpses of the Banelings. Those creatures arecurrently quite the melee killers in StarCraft II.

第二章图里的绿色小团团是Baneling毁灭虫(暂译,就是自爆的那个)爆炸后的尸体。这家伙现在是SCII里的近战单位王牌杀手。

Youare absolutely correct, this is one of the best economy raidingstrategies at the moment for Zerg. If you can get some Banelings intothe enemy's peon line, you can significantly stifle their economy, aswell as force them into a defensive minded mentality. Nonetheless,there are counters to this, such as if you are playing Terrans, you canupgrade your Command Center to a Planetary Fortress, thus defendingyour economy from light raids. Luckily, those Banelings have verylittle hit points, and are easy to kill with ranged weapons.

问:这么一来,空降毁灭虫屠农岂不是很彪悍?怀疑大多数虫族玩家都会用这个战术了。

Presidingover the Zerg was the Overmind, now replaced by Sarah Kerrigan, theQueen of Blades. To control efficiently the Swarm, the supreme Zergmaster requires the aid of its leader-servants, the Cerebrates, butalso of lesser but nevertheless important agents. The space-faringspecie of the Gargantis Proximae was assimilated into the Swarm as theOverlords, vital commanders who direct the will of Cerebrates and theQueen of Blades into the myriad number of quasi-soulless Zergs, makingthem act as one unstoppable and intelligent hive-minded host. Withoutthe steering presence of Overlords, a Brood cannot grow, or dominancewould spiral out of control.



Although devoid of anydefensive measures than a stout carapace, the Overlord can revealconcealed targets in its vicinity to the Zerg.


Zerg之主曾经是Overmind主脑,现在是刀锋女皇。Zerg的最高领主需要Cerebrate脑虫们作为高级仆从来做到对虫族的有力控制,但同时也需要较低等但不下等(...好吧,较低等但同样重要)的代言人。
作为有太空迁徙能力的巨连接者属生物(求教拉丁文方家-_-)被虫族同化的结果,领主们是脑虫和刀锋女皇的意志的传达者,数目庞大而似乎没有独立意志的虫族成员的无坚不摧、聪明睿智的母巢型精神终端。(这句翻死我了...)缺少领主指引的虫族族群无法成长,或者逐渐失去控制。

领主除了结实的甲壳外没有任何防御手段,但是他们可以显示身边敌人的隐形单位。

Asone of the first creatures to have been created when its originalaspect, the Zz'gashi Dune Runner, was assimilated into the Zerg Swarm,the Zergling is a dog-sized insect-like creature which excels atrushing to the enemy and tearing them down with their sharp clovenmandibles and teeth. Their small size makes them extremely weak ontheir own, but they are terribly dangerous when in group. As theirgenetic code is extremely simple, two of them can hatch from an egg,easily accumulating their numbers. En mass, they can effortlesslyoverrun an enemy outpost within a matter of minutes, swarming over themlike a flood of claws and teeth.

Banelings areacid-filled kamikazes who roll into the enemy and explode like achemical bomb, drenching them in a substance so corrosive it can easilytake out the most stalwart foes.

人族和神族都研发出了新武器,虫族自然不能落后;所以跳跳们获得了变异成名为毁灭虫的自杀生物的新技能。(这解释好白烂好欠)毁灭虫是滚向敌人的神风突击队,充满酸液的身体爆炸开来就像化学炸弹一般;被浸透在酸液里的敌人再强大也会被轻松解决。(谢谢指正~)

The Mantis Screamers of the desolate Dinares Sector were assimilatedinto the Swarm as the Mutalisks due to their ability for atmosphericand deep space travel. Having changed little from their original form,it could be concluded that the deadly acid spray they utilise to attackand defend had already been developed prior to their inception into theZerg race.

The Mutalisk can spew forth Glaive Wurms which seekout nearby targets and punish them. While the initial strike drains theGlaive of most of its damaging efficiency, the resulting 'jumps' can beresponsible for minimal injuries, which can become deadly when theMutalisk strikes in hordes, which is often the case.

荒芜的第纳尔星区出产的尖啸螳螂因他们的大气层和深空飞行能力而被虫族同化。可以说和原型比起来他们变化甚少;他们用来进攻和防御的酸液吐息同化前就非常致命。

飞龙可以吐出弹射虫来攻击附近的目标。虽然因为原始攻击耗去大部分动能而使得弹射伤害并不大,但是集群射击的时候效果还是非常恐怖——而且这种情况经常发生。

Whilethe Nydus Canal was an extremely useful means for obtainingreinforcements from two distant Zerg settlements, its role stoppedthere. With new evolutions, the Nydus Canal gave way to the Nydus Worm---- a giant invertebrate which can move from place to place, givingthe Zerg increased effectiveness in providing reinforcements. Using abeacon of sorts to call it forth, the Zerg can summon the Nydus Wormalmost anywhere they want, like at the mouth of an enemy base, andflood into their midst in no time.

虽然坑道在获取远方援军方面作用甚大,它的能力也就仅此而已了。在新的进化之后,坑道让位于坑道虫——一种巨大的能够移动的无脊椎动物,这使得Zerg派遣援军的能力大大加强。Zerg能够在几乎所有地方使用路标召唤坑道虫,例如敌人基地门口,然后瞬间涌进去。
